
Dan Lichtman
Founding President and CEO
Following through with his passion to develop better diagnostic tools, Dan Lichtman applied his 20 years of experience as the President and CEO of a successful distributorship of immuno-diagnostic reagents and instruments to form NoAb Diagnostics in 1995. In 2001, Dan added the drug discovery focus and changed the company's name to NoAb BioDiscoveries to better reflect this direction. Dan is committed to growing NoAb BioDiscoveries into a premier drug discovery company.
David K. H. Lee, Ph.D.
Chief Scientific Officer
With over 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry, David joined NoAb BioDiscoveries in October 2001. Prior to that, he was the founding President of Maxxam BioDiscoveries Inc., a drug discovery service organization. David has also worked at Wyeth Laboratories, Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development LLC, and Allelix Biopharmaceuticals. In his present position, David leads the growth of NoAb BioDiscoveries through the development of technologies and business development.
Cathy Trewin, C.A.
Chief Financial Officer
Cathy Trewin brought her 15 years of experience to NoAb BioDiscoveries in October 2000. With a background in the manufacturing, distribution, laboratory services and public accounting industries, Cathy now holds overall responsibility for finance, information technology, and human resource services. She is a member of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto. Cathy also serves as CFO for Inter Medico.
Dr. Inés de Lannoy, Ph.D.
Senior Director, Discovery
Inés joined NoAb BioDiscoveries in 2002. Prior to joining NoAb, she was Director of Research at Maxxam BioDiscoveries, where she helped build HTS, ADMET and PK capabilities as a service to pharmaceutical clients. Inés is a well respected pharmacokineticist who has been instrumental in building the pharmacokinetics capabilities of several companies. Previously at Allelix Biopharmaceuticals Inés advanced several drug candidates from discovery into clinical trials. Inés provides leadership in all aspects of PK and continues to develop key PK models and tools.
Dr. Douglas Turk, Ph.D.
Senior Director, ADME and Bioanalytical Services
Doug joined NoAb BioDiscoveries in April, 2006. He has over 17 years experience in pharmaceutical R&D in bioanalytical chemistry, holding a variety of positions with Aventis Pharmaceutical and most recently, Titan Pharmaceuticals as Director of Bioanalytical Chemistry. He was primarily responsible for bioanalytical operations in support of In Vivo drug disposition and In Vitro ADME studies for discovery project teams, as well as safety and efficacy studies for Toxicology and clinical investigations. In his current role at NoAb BioDiscoveries, Doug provides leadership and expertise in bioanalytical services and ADME assays in support of client sponsored drug discovery research efforts.
Dr. Robert Shipman, Ph.D.
Director, Genomics
Rob joined NoAb BioDiscoveries in June 2000. Over the last 20 years, he has held various senior scientist, project leader and project manager positions at Ciba-Geigy AG, Basel Cantonal Hospital-University Hospital Research Center, Montreal General Hospital, Ontario Cancer Institute-Princess Margaret Hospital and Visible Genetics Inc. Rob’s work centered on the molecular genetic events contributing to tumour development and progression in both sporadic and inherited cancers. At NoAb BioDiscoveries, Rob is responsible for the development and validation of DTEx™ microarrays for the evaluation of drug effects on target tissues.
